Madness on Maplewood and beyond

The sun on sunday brought out the cabin fever and a desire for adventure in Elle and I.  So we got adventurous and explored the great outdoors for the first time on our own!  I eyed the door and was trying to figure out a plan to get past, Papi.  Elle noted that he was so deeply engaged in Meet the Press, he wouldn't even notice if we snuck out!  So we did it, snuck past him and high tailed it to the El.  Elle made quick friends with Olivia, an 8 month old friend, who had two front teeth coming in.  Elle was pretty jealous, but just excited to be out in the fresh air and loud noise!!  We met up with Annah and her super cute sister at Bin Wine Cafe for brunch and a mimosa flight to share.  It was great to see them and visit!  Laura came to see lil Elle as well!  We were so jealous that she got to bike there!  She was a natural holding lil Elle, in her super hip smart wear she fit right in as a Bucktown mama...ha I know it will be awhile until that happens!  We had so much fun with the girls!  Although we were so tired afterwards that we slept all afternoon!

Monday we were delighted to get out in the gorgeous weather again, with our first trip downtown!  We accompanied Casey and Grandma Jackie to get Casey's passport renewed.  Elle and I chilled at Argo Tea with some iced chai while they accomplished the goal of the trip.  Elle loves the Moby wrap and just snoozes so close to mom!  While we were downtown, we decided to go introduce Elle to 4240.  Very fun.  I think most of the single males that work there, were not sure what to think about baby Elle!  ha!  Yes folks Wade is a dad and does it very well!  We enjoyed a nice lunch in Millennium Park with Wader.  Very relaxing!  All of the excitement made Elle and I super exhausted though and we were ready for bed pretty early!
