First Mom's Day (a rainy one at that)

So I know I have only been a mom for 5 weeks and my mom is way more deserving of a holiday all to herself, I somehow feel as though in these weeks I have earned this day as well (obviously to a significantly lesser degree that does not compare to mom)!!  Its crazy though how all of the sudden I have this crazy new appreciation for my parents and the importance of days to thank them!!  I know that especially in the early years, being a parent can be a full-time, completely demanding of everything, thankless job!!  Oh man...what in the world have we gotten ourselves into...oh wait I just saw that angelic lil face again and somehow it makes it all worth it...you will understand some day friends (no no I'm not crazy and yes yes I am still the same Jenn, just with a bit different perspective).

On the cold, windy, rainy mother's day in Chicago, my parents came in and we snuggled Elle for awhile, before she drifted of to rainy day dreamland and we headed out for an afternoon "nosh" session at BIN wine cafe in Wicker Park.  We sampled a few of their wines and cheeses and caught up on life!  It was very relaxing with the rain and the lighting and we really enjoyed ourselves (even though afterwards we were ready for bed at 6pm!! ha!).  But we snuggled lil Elle for the rest of the afternoon and appreciated such a small little gift and being moms (and dads).  It was altogether lovely and delightful.  All the best to you mom's out there!  You rock my world and need to be told every day how important and awesome you are!
