The last few days have been pretty crazy. After the lactation consultant was commenting on how great Elle was on Tuesday and that she was the most mellow baby she had visited in awhile, Elle has struck back with vengeance. Don't let her super cute looks fool you, she has been a screaming machine! I have felt a bit overwhelmed with figuring out ways to calm her down and am pumped for the bouncer to get here soon, as another option to try. Right now my best bet is getting her to take the paci, and then reading her books in the green chair. I never really thought my voice would be considered "soothing" before, but Elle likes it so that is good!
Elle did calm down for the guests yesterday (of course, so then everyone thinks I'm making up her fussy spells). Great Grandma and Grandpa Wicks took the train up to the city from LaSalle-Peru to see Elle. We were so proud of them for making the trek and had a lot of fun just talking and hanging out with sleeping Elle!
Elle and mom were very happy to have dad come home for the weekend! Mom was feeling very tired and sore, so she was way ready for a reinforcement (and some eye candy ;) I am feeling much better today after Elle let me have one extra 2 hr stretch of sleep this morning! We are excited for a mellow saturday resting!

Ah, she's so cute! I hope she resumes being her more mellow self for Mommy's sake ;-)
