Thanksgiving!!

Growing up, Thanksgiving has always been my favourite holiday. I absolutely loved getting our extended family together in the kitchen cooking and sharing a meal together. I look back on these memories with I am sure a heightened nostalgia now that we live far away from family. I am thankful for a holiday of remembrance of the many blessings and provisions in our lives and the Giver of all of these things.

We were blessed this year to be able to share Thanksgiving with friends in London. We are thankful for the Jones crew for hosting us wild lot. I was quite smitten with all of our cooking endeavours. Becca did marvellously in preparing organic free range roast chicken (Turkey impossible to get and extremely expensive) and an amazing pecan pie!! Her sis Triona made a scrumptious Sweet Potato Pudding! Elle made dad's mum's Ice Box Rolls, which were well received by the littles and she made a wicked pumpkin pie as well. While she was busy working on those things I was able to make the family Wild Rice Stuffing, as well as Stuffed Pumpkin/Squash *not a family tradition, but a veggie main course I was pleased with! While we didn't have football to watch. We did catch a family favourite...Anchor Man...fits in well with the Blass holiday movie selections ;) Thanks for a great day Jones crew!

Thankful for much this Thanksgiving. Hope you had a wonderful day of Thanks as well!
