We had a bit of drama in the aftermath of a pretty 'stressfree' labor...including a bit of ward drama, my mom getting kicked out of the hospital, trainers and mobile getting stolen, and my blood pressure skyrocketing....so we were in the hospital a few days more than I would have liked and I was again let down by nursing staff...proving that both in the states and across the pond good care is hard to find. Anyways. We are home now and I am relieved to be in my own bed. Although this csection and blood pressure situation has proven to be a lot more taxing than I remember. So I am really trying to take it easy and get lots of rest. Thank God my mom is here to help with Ellery. Bless Miss High Energy, but she terrifies me after the section and I am just freaking that she is going to jump on me, which makes things a bit difficult with my baby girl! Day by day though hopefully I will get stronger and her more gentle with me! She loves her baby brother and just wants to 'hold hold' all the time. We will definitely be posting more photos of sibling bonding soon...Thanks again for the continued prayers and support. They are much appreciated...Hugs

AJ Birth Details
Just wanted to write a brief note of thanks for all of the prayers and support over the last week and provide a few labor details for those interested. I went into labor last Sunday evening with baby AJ. All seemed to be progressing normally and we hopped to the hospital around 10:30pm. We had lovely midwifery care and I was a big fan of the entonox (laughing gas type mixture) to help me cope with labor pain. Unfortunately labor although it was progressing early on, stopped progressing and while the contractions continued to be strong AJ (like his sister) was not coming down to make his entrance naturally. We again tried epidurals to relax me, however unfortunately this time the two they attempted did not take. So finally at around 8:00am the doctors decided that a c-section was really the best option for baby AJ's arrival. I was feeling relieved at that point to not have to deal with the pain any more and for Avery to come join us already! We had great medical doctors who proved to be very competent, so despite the failed epidurals did a spinal block quickly and got me into the theatre for surgery. Avery was born shortly after 9:00am on March 1st at a whopping 9lbs 6 oz.
